BackViksit Rajasthan 2047
The state of Rajasthan has embarked on a mission to create a comprehensive vision document, Viksit Rajasthan 2030. The vision document intends preparing a comprehensive document for the state to define the sectoral policies, programmes and the macro level goals to be achieved by 2047-the centenary year of India’s Independence.
In this regards, the Drafting Committee and Thematic Groups had their first meeting on 20th March 2024 under the chairmanship of Mission Director, NHM. NIPI was part of the whole process and the first draft of the document was presented jointly by NIPI and UNICEF in the State level Meeting chaired by Additional Chief Secretary, GoR on 23 May 2024.
The document prepared after extensive consultation with all stakeholders does a comprehensive situational analysis and presents the current status of infrastructure, human resources, drugs, diagnostic and ongoing programmes. The VIKSIT Rajasthan document underlines the Strategic Thrust Areas, Governments Vision and the Macro level Goals for 2047. The state lays emphasis on strengthening primary health care and health system, improving outreach and bringing efficiency in programme delivery by using digital platforms. Due emphasis is also laid on the incremental role of the private sector in health. The document aims at increasing the Average Life Expectancy in Rajasthan from 69 years to 84 years by 2047.
